Time for a Snooze? Try Dubai Airport
Dubai International has become the first airport in the Middle East to introduce modular sleeping pods for travellers.
Called SnoozeCube, each of the accommodation units contains a full-sized bed, a touch-screen television and includes high-speed Internet access.
The units are connected to the airport’s flight information system.
Ten of the soundproofed units have been installed adjacent to Gate 122 at Dubai International’s Terminal 1.
During the pilot phase, the SnoozeCube can be booked on an hourly basis with rates starting from AED 65 (approx. US$17.80) per hour for the first four hours.
SnoozeCube was designed and built in New Zealand.
