Time for tea with Will and Kate

Tuesday, 06 Jan, 2011 0

Royal wedding fans heading for London in April will be tempted by high tea at The Langham hotel.

The hotel is offering a celebratory afternoon tea in the Palm Court to commemorate the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William to Kate Middleton on April 29.

The newly refurbished The Langham, London, was the winner of the ‘Best London Afternoon Tea 2010’ award by the Tea Guild.

Tea Royale is priced at £51.50 per person, inclusive of a glass of Champagne Laurent-Perrier NV to toast the happy couple, and is available from 1-30 April 2011 inclusive.

The Langham was London’s first grand hotel serving afternoon tea and thus gained its reputation as being the birthplace of the afternoon tea tradition.

More details of the wedding ceremony were announced in London yesterday.

The palace says Miss Middleton will travel to the Westminster Abbey ceremony by car, but the newly-weds will return to Buckingham Palace in a glass carriage along Parliament Square, Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and The Mall.
