Editor’s Note

Dear TravelMole Member

If New York ever needed the support of its friends in the travel
industry it is now. Just before news of the latest tragedy
reached WTM on Monday afternoon, the New York State Department
of Tourism had given an up-beat press conference urging people
to visit the city. The American Airlines plane crash means that
plea is more relevant than ever.

The travel industry can and will bounce back, and the feeling at
WTM this week has been that exhibitors and visitors are
determined to prove that the industry can come through these
extraordinary times.

Best wishes
