Tonga to push profile in key markets
Tonga’s Ministry of Tourism marketing division has scheduled a tourism summit for travel wholesalers and key Pacific specialist travel agents in Auckland on February 2 and Sydney on February 3.
Ministry of Tourism CEO Sakopo Lolohea said, “It’s no secret that Tonga has had a low profile in these two key markets in recent years. That’s about to change.â€
Tonga will be launching a new branding and marketing direction in 2011, and is seeking input from the trade
“We will also be outlining the Tonga Tourism Support Programme, and how this will enhance the quality of tourism operations. We will also outline our plans for product development,†Lolohea said.
