Former Regent Cruises executive Kenneth Watson has become chief operating officer of Silversea Cruises as part of a senior management shake-up.

Watson will oversee all worldwide sales and marketing activities as well as leading revenue management and performance, reservations, air/sea and guest relations departments.

Fabio Agostini becomes chief information officer following 25 years with IT operations, including time with Costa Cruises. His responsibility will be to direct the development of information technology

The changes have come in the wake of the departures of David Morris, executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing; Marilyn Conroy, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas; and Tim Rand, vice president and chief information officer.

The luxury line’s president and CEO Amerigo Perasso said: "These [changes] will help consolidate the corporate organisational structure and enhance our ability to meet new business challenges, and ultimately our long-term strategic goals."
