Topless woman ‘screamed terror warning on flight’
A woman was arrested on an internal Australian flight after she removed her clothes and screamed at other passengers that everyone was going to die. The Advertiser, an Australian newspaper, reports that the incident took place on a Virgin Blue flight from Hobart, Tasmania, to the state capital of Victoria, Melbourne. It reports that the woman, who is 23, yelled for the plane to stop, removed her top and bra, and then “defecated in her pants”. Once the plane had landed at Melbourne, officers from the Australian Protective Service escorted the woman from the plane. One passenger reportedly said: “Everyone was pretty freaked out – by the time we landed, everyone on the plane applauded.” A spokesman for Virgin Blue reportedly said: “We believe that, despite this person’s unusual behaviour, it did not affect the safety of passengers or the aircraft.”
