Toronto crash passengers offered $30K compensation
Delta Air Lines have been offered $30,000 to passenger on the regional flight that crashed and flipped over on a Toronto Airport runway earlier this week.
Everyone on board miraculously survived with just a few injuries reported.
The plane flipped over and lost its wings as the landing gear seemed to collapse on landing.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Canadian and US investigators.
There were 76 passengers and four crew on the flight, operated by Delta regional partner Endeavor Air.
Delta said the payment has no strings attached and doesn’t affect their consumer rights.
A Toronto law firm says it wouldn’t affect future legal action brought by passengers.
The flight crew and emergency responders were hailed for their quick action in getting everyone oyut of the plane quickly and extinguishing a fire.
All passengers initially taken to hospital have been released, the airline said.
The wreckage has now been removed from the runway.
