Touchdown secures deal with Sabre
Touchdown Holidays, which provides travel deals exclusively for travel industry employees, has signed a long-term contract with Sabre Travel Network.
“The UK travel industry has weathered one storm after another including the recession, increases in UK aviation taxes and more recently the fallout from Mount Eyjafjallajökull’s eruption in Iceland,” said Steve Finch, executive director of Touchdown Holidays.
“These events have not only impacted travel demand and spend in the corporate and leisure sector but also within the travel industry itself.
“However, we believe that with the right technology, we can implement low fares that will stimulate travel demand and help fill otherwise empty airline seats with travel industry employees, who can then go on to promote the product to the general public.”
He claimed integration with Sabre Web Services will also enhance Touchdown’s online system “ultimately leading to improved customer service, productivity and business performance”.
