Tour operators: A free offer
As part of a new promotion, “See America’s Parks,” the Travel Industry Association of America and its partners are offering NTA members some free promotional opportunities for tour operators and others. As part of its promotion with the National Park Service, a new Web site will be launched in March to feature all 388 national parks. Discounted trips can be posted on the site for free. Free posters are available that can be given out to consumers. NTA officials say there are also opportunities for operators and others to tag onto free news coverage via the new web site. “The See America’s National Parks program will be an exciting, largely no-cost opportunity to catch the wave of popularity that will be rising this summer travel season when Americans take a renewed interest in the national parks,” says an NTA news release. The national parks site is seeamerica.org. Report by David Wilkening
