Tourism Solomons launches advertising challenge for Aussie agents
Tourism Solomons has unveiled a unique new campaign inviting travel agents to help craft a tagline for the destination’s next advertising initiative.
Launched under a ‘Let Your Imagination Set Sail — and Win!’ banner, the campaign encourages travel professionals to ‘unleash their creativity’ and share what they believe captures the true spirit of Solomon Islands.
The winning entry will see the chosen tagline head up the next real-world destination marketing campaign.
To celebrate their contribution, the winner will also receive a special prize pack for their effort.
Tourism Solomons Australia Trade Manager, Richard Skewes, who came up with the idea, said this reinforces the critical role agents play in driving destination awareness.
“This is all about inviting the people who sell our destination every day to shape its story with us” he said.
“Travel agents know exactly what inspires travellers to look beyond the usual, and no one is better placed to help us find a line that truly captures the Solomon Islands.”
“What makes this different is that we are asking them to speak for the destination. We’re excited to see the ideas flow.”
Entries are now open at https://enterhere.net/solomon-islands-tagline/ and close on 21 October 2025.
