Trading of China Eastern Airlines in Hong Kong, Shanghai and New York Suspended
China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited announces that, following a request made by the Company to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, trading in its H shares has been suspended with effect from 9:30 a.m. on December 29, 2008, pending the release of an announcement by the Company regarding the proposed subscriptions of new A shares and new H shares in the Company by China Eastern Air Holding Company and CES Global Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited, respectively.
Trading in the Company’s A Shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange has been suspended since December 25, 2008.
Trading in the Company’s ADSs on the New York Stock Exchange has also been suspended with effect from 9:30 a.m. New York time on December 26, 2008.
