Trafalgar expanding family tour experiences
Trafalgar is now offering two new destinations, South Africa and Costa Rica, for its fastest growing market — Family Experiences guided vacations.
“Travel agents can now offer their clients the widest variety of Family Experiences ever, with 14 custom-designed itineraries spanning destinations in Britain, Europe, Canada, the USA, South Africa and Costa Rica,” the company says.
When clients book and pay in full by December 30 on 2011 Europe departures, the second traveler flies for US$299.
For 2011, Trafalgar has designed six new itineraries — An African Adventure (South Africa), Monkeys, Jungles & Volcanoes (Costa Rica), Magical Matterhorn, Castles & Kilts, Rockies Thrills & Glacier Spills and Trails of Liberty, for a total of 14 Family Experiences.
"The young and the young at heart can really immerse themselves with these guided vacations that appeal to all ages," said Trafalgar President Paul Wiseman. "You can discover the secrets of traditional pizza-making in Rome, embark on a safari in South Africa, or trek beside a volcano in the Costa Rican rainforest."
Wiseman said the multi-generational appeal of the Family Experiences are centered on authentic local experiences, knowledgeable tour directors, iconic sights, choice of activities and quality accommodations.
"Families can visit a chocolate factory in Switzerland, or participate in a paella-making lesson is Spain," he said. "Guests can also add to our many included activities with a fantastic choice of optional excursions like visiting the ancient city of Pompeii or experiencing a festive medieval banquet in London."
