Trafalgar has a record sales day
Trafalgar says it was “Big Monday” for them this week, after bookings taken on Monday 6 November surpassed the highest ever single day bookings previously record by over 20%.
Paul Wiseman, MD of Trafalgar said, “We were astounded and exceptionally pleased by this result. We are attributing this sales surge to a number of travel shows held over the weekend, as well as increased promotional activity over the past few weeks to ensure clients are well-informed about the offers Trafalgar have available.
“Monday’s result, coupled with some excellent booking weeks since the launch of our 2007 products, has positioned us well above where we were at the same time last year. This trend suggests another fantastic year ahead, which would mean four consecutive years of great growth – a very good sign for the industry in general.
“The high number of bookings we have already received have also shown us that Earlybird deals are very attractive to clients, who appear to be planning ahead to make savings where possible. This is great news for our agent partners, many of whom I’m sure are sharing in our success early in the season and will continue to lock in some terrific business before the end of the year.
“Trafalgar has Earlybird offers available with a number of the major air carriers, as well as Trafalgar’s ‘A Day on the House’ offer valued at up to $500 per couple. This entitles clients who book a Trafalgar tour of 10 days or more in conjunction with return Earlybird Qantas or British Airways airfare to one free night, twin share accommodation preceding their tour in London or any other tour gateway city and a free transfer from the airport to the hotel. Clients must book and pay for their airfare in full by 29 December 2006 to qualify for this great deal.
“Although it is still very early in the season, the current trend indicated, by the high level of bookings we have already received, is that 2007 will be a huge success, which is great for agents as all Trafalgar bookings are made by agents, none are taken direct.”
Trafalgar launched its 2007 Europe & Britain Book last month, featuring 106 meticulously planned itineraries including six new holidays.
Trafalgar’s new program has been revitalised with the introduction of more luxurious centrally or scenically located hotels and innovative new tour inclusions such as guided city walking tours and welcome dinners to ensure clients have the chance to become well-acquainted with their tour director and fellow passengers at the start of their holiday.
Trafalgar is also utilising the latest in sightseeing technology, with the addition of at least one audio headset city tour on every holiday, which means travellers can hear their experienced guide’s live commentary clearly through a personal headset, while walking at their own pace.
Clients can also save up to 10 percent per person on the land cost of their holiday with Trafalgar’s early payment discount on selected tours. To qualify for the full discount the tour must be booked and paid for at least one year prior to departure. Great discounts are also available to those who book and pay in full as little as four months in advance of departure.
With 60 years of experience, Trafalgar has perfected the art of providing clients with hassle-free, seamless holidays in the United Kingdom, Europe, USA and Canada. Trafalgar’s commitment to value, quality, and innovative new ways to travel ensures your clients’ holiday will be an experience to remember. It really is a case of “Dream. Pack. And leave…the rest to us”.
