Transport Canada investigates Aeroflot airspace breach
Transport Canada is looking into how a Russian airliner violated a ban on entering Canadian airspace. Transport Canada said an Aeroflot flight entered its airspace despite a ban being imposed earlier in the day. The pilot declared it a ‘humanitarian flight.’
The flight by Russia’s flagship carrier took off for Moscow from Miami International Airport. Transport Canada said it is reviewing the actions of both Aeroflot and air traffic operator Nav Canada.

How can ATC in Florida give a clearance to a plane heading into airspace that is know to be blocked/forbidden to fly into?
