Travel agents can benefit from responsible tourism – report
A recent report indicates that travel agents can gain a market advantage
from Responsible Tourism.
Richard Drysdale suggests that the social advantage for travel agents is clear. “While ethical tourism is growing year by year, people will not only demand but expect that their products and services are run on ethical or responsible lines.”
As the figures in his survey show, there is also a market advantage in pursueing these concerns. With 37% of respondents more likely to book with a company that that was run on ethical lines, no company can afford to ignore this part of its customer base”.
