Travel Agents Score Rewards With Travelex
Four lucky travel agents have an added spring in their step this week after winning the major prize from Travelex’s latest Score Rewards promotion draw.
Andrea Mirra of Flinders Travel in South Australia was one of the lucky winners to receive a Travelex Cash Passport loaded with AU$5000 in foreign currency.
“I couldn’t believe my luck when Travelex called to me that I’d won,†said Ms Mirra.
“I’m heading to China next week for an educational famil and then taking an Intrepid tour from Beijing to Shanghai, so it was a case of perfect timing.”
“I had already planned to load my travel money onto a Cash Passport, but now Travelex have done the job for me!â€
Each time Andrea and her fellow agents sold a Cash Passport loaded with $3,000 or more they were entered in the draw for rewards, a job made easier thanks to the recent strength of the Aussie dollar.
“Travelex products such as the Cash Passport are an easy add on sale that keep customers coming back, both for reloads and new card purchases,†said fellow winner Bruce Shaw, from Berwick Village Travel and Cruise in Victoria.
“Thanks to the training provided by Travelex, it is easy to explain the advantages of the Cash Passport to customers and show them why it should be their travel money option of choice.”
“Once I educate customers on the convenience and inbuilt security of the card it practically sells itself,†he said.
Travelex Score Rewards is an incentive programme run with the travel agency network, just another way Travelex demonstrates its commitment to the industry.
The second Score Rewards promotion for 2008 rewarded one agent from each geographic region.
WA/NT/SA: Andrea Mirra, Flinders Travel
QLD: Craig Deuchar, Sta Travel Chermside
NSW/ACT: Melissa Zandona, Harvey World Travel Griffith
VIC/TAS: Bruce Shaw, Berwick Village Travel & Cruise
Since March 2007, Travelex has rewarded every agent who sold a Cash Passport valued at AU$3,000 or more – so far giving away over AU$800,000
in individual vouchers in addition to major prizes. All of which means Australia sells more Cash Passports than any other country in the world.
Travelex Score Rewards continues next quarter. For more details visit http://www.travelexscore.com.au/.
