Travel and Transport names news global sales strategy chief
Corporate travel management firm Travel and Transport has named Shannon Garcia as managing director, Global Sales Strategy.
An active member of both ACTE and GBTA, she brings 20 years’ travel industry experience in a variety of management roles, and latterly served as vice president and principal for Advito Consulting.
Shannon was also vice president of Global Sales for BCD Travel and has held national sales positions at Omni Hotels and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
In her new role at Travel and Transport, she will oversee large market and global sales and support global initiatives.
"Shannon has a wealth of global industry and consulting experience with a focus on bringing solutions to Corporate 100 clients," said Penny Watermeier, Travel and Transport’s vice president of Corporate Sales and Marketing.
"We are excited to add this strength to our growing global sales team. Shannon will be a great addition to our leadership team and we are confident that with her consultative and solution-based approach to travel initiatives, she will allow us to continue to find success in the global sales arena," added COO Tim Fleming.

It has more than 1,200 employee-owners located in 37 states.
