Travel Counsellors confirms new UK managing director
Commercial director Kirsten Hughes has been promoted to the role of UK managing director, replacing Steve Byrne who is now chief executive.
Hughes has been with Travel Counsellors for 22 years, having started out working for founder David Speakman’s travel agency David Speakman Travel. She was previously with Thomson-owned Lunn Poly.
She was appointed to the role of commercial director 12 years ago.
Kirsten will continue as commercial director alongside her new role as MD.
Travel Counsellors has also appointed Waseem Haq to the new role of director of digital and innovation.
