American travel demand remains high with 50% of Americans saying they will take their next trip within the next 90 days.
Findings from Longwood International’s ongoing American Travel Sentiment tracking study showed 92% indicating plans to go somewhere within the next six months.
This remains near survey-record highs.
Overall, the fall and holiday travel season outlook remains strong leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Their main travel demand motivation is spending time with their immediate family.
Seeking out new experiences (19%), seeking a fun time (18%), rest and relaxation (17%) also figured highly as reasons.
Nearly one-third said they plan to travel more during the holiday season with just 12% planning to travel less, the survey found.
Also, one-third plan to spend more on their holiday travels this year compared to last year.
Despite Covid-19 making a comeback, only 11% of American travelers say this has impacted their decision to travel over the next 90 days.
The American Travel Sentiment tracking study is published in collaboration with The Miles Partnership.
