Travel Leaders corporate business up 31 percent this year
Agency group Travel Leaders says business is booming, and more specifically business travel, which is up 31% in the first half of 2014.
Travel Leaders Corporate said new business travel accounts added during January-June this year totalled over $75 million, which is almost a third up on the same period last year.
"Our Travel Leaders members have been inundated throughout the first half of this year with requests for proposals and they’ve obviously been able to demonstrate their expertise and value to these new corporate clients" said Roger Block, president of Travel Leaders Franchise Group.
Block cited the company’s Business Travel Center of Excellence’s programs as key to the sharp increase in new business.
"It enables our members to be extremely prepared and competitive when submitting RFPs," he said.
Travel Leaders Corporate generated sales of around $20 billion in 2013.
