Travel placements at pandemic-high
More candidates were placed in travel job vacancies in November 2021 than at any point since the pandemic began, according to the latest data from C&M Travel Recruitment and C&M Executive Recruitment.
Last month’s total number of travel placements was the highest since February 2020, but while the figure was up exponentially from last November, it remained down from November 2019 by 15%.
Despite falling by 27% from October 2021, vacancy numbers remained strong with the fourth highest total of the year.
November 2021’s figure was up by 3% compared to the pre-pandemic month of November 2019.
It was a less positive in terms of new candidates, with volumes falling by 21% from October to reach their lowest level since May 2021.
While the number of new travel job seekers was up by 60% from last November, volumes were significantly below levels seen before the pandemic, with falls of 19% from November 2019, and 43% from November 2018.
Barbara Kolosinska, Director at C&M Travel Recruitment and C&M Executive Recruitment, said: “November was a very strong month for travel recruitment, with a high number of new vacancies and more job placements than we’ve seen since the beginning of 2020.”
