Travel staff encouraged to rate the company they work for

Employees are being urged to tell people what they really think of their company as the search begins to find the travel industry’s best employer.

The Travel Employer of the Year 2017 is based on the opinions throughout the year employees, who rate their businesses on workplace review and recruitment site WorkAdvisor and the company that comes out on top for 2017 will take the crown.

On the WorkAdvisor site employees anonymously review their workplace in five key categories and give their employer a star rating, which contributes to an overall score for that employer.

Last year’s overall winner, cruise.co.uk, also finished top of the categories for employee motivation and recommendation.

Philip Price, founder of WorkAdvisor, said: "Being recognised as a good employer reduces recruitment costs and creates a feel-good factor within the business – it demonstrates that the employer welcomes feedback from their staff."

Workplace reviews can be posted anonymously on the WorkAdvisor website. Entry is free for UK travel businesses and the winners will be announced in early January.
