There were several strong performances among travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s equity markets managed small gains. The FTSE 100 index gained just 3.1 points to close at 4540.1, while the FTSE 250 added 31.1 points to end the day at 6353.6. Ebookers managed to put on 12.75p to close at 457.75p and Ryanair also had a good day, adding 8.125p to close at 329.5p, while British Airways suffered from profit taking after a good run and dropped 6.5p to close at 316.25p.
