Despite rising markets, there were few soaring performances among travel and tourism shares yesterday. The FTSE 100 index gained 53.4 points to close at 4461.5 after several quiet days, while the FTSE 250 also had a good day, rising 39.4 points to end the day at 6244.9. The day’s biggest movers were Easyjet, which gained 11.5p to close at 359.5p, and Ebookers, which moved the other way, dropping 11p to end the day at 440p.
