An Arctic chill descended on London’s equity markets yesterday – even if the much-touted cold snap failed to make it that far south yesterday. Travel shares had a difficult time as the main indices slumped; the FTSE 100 index fell 15.3 points to close at 4445.5 – its third fall in succession. The biggest movement among travel and tourism shares was at Easyjet, whose shares dropped 8.75p to 350.25p.
