TRAVEL STOCKWATCH – ebookers shares dive

Shares in online travel agent Ebookers plunged yesterday after the company warned that its profits for 2004 were likely to fall short of City forecasts. The price nose-dived 80p to 140p. Lastminute.com also had a setback, dropping 15.5p to 146p.

The FTSE 100 closed up, 31.3 points higher on 4356.2, and the FTSE 250 had a positive day too, finishing 14.6 points ahead a5 5963.
