The organisers of Travel Technology Europe are investing heavily in new technology and innovation for 2017. Every buyer and exhibitor attending the show will receive a TTE Connect ‘Poken’ – a hand-shaped USB that clips to their lanyard allowing them to exchange virtual business cards. The show will also double the size of the Launchpad, where 15 innovative start-ups and their blooming businesses are awarded unparalleled networking opportunities and exposure.
The show, the largest event of its kind in Europe, takes place from 22-23 February 2017, when 6,000 travel technology professionals will descend upon Olympia London to learn, share knowledge and network within this exciting industry.
Also new for 2017 are the show’s Tech Huddles – informal drop-ins for networking and knowledge sharing. The speaking programme also hosts an impressive array of talks on VR and AR, Blockchain, Internet of Things, guest facing technology, and many more exciting subjects.
"The show is renowned for introducing buyers to innovation and, by supporting start-ups, we really are helping to drive the industry forward," said Sam Cande, group commercial director, Travel Technology Europe.
"The game-changing start-ups who make it onto the Launchpad will not only get a free stand and extensive marketing support, but automatically become entrants for the Travel Technology Disrupt Award, the winner of which receives a full-sized stand worth £8,000 at the 2018 show. This benefits buyers by introducing them to disruptive technology and an ability to create early relationships with the future titans of travel technology."
The first Travel Technology Europe Disrupt Award was won by bd4travel in 2016, an exciting start-up successfully using big data and digital empathy to help tailor online travel searches to each user. Therefore, travel companies such as Expedia are able to reach more customers with a variety of options suited to their individual lifestyles.
bd4travel is already confirmed to return to Travel Technology Europe in 2017 to exhibit, alongside more than 130 leading travel technology suppliers.
"Winning a stand at the next Travel Technology Europe show is an incredible ‘leg-up’ for us, as not only do we get to save some of our budget, which is so crucial to keep start-ups afloat, but we get unprecedented networking opportunities to meet people from around the world." said Helge Moser, marketing manager, bd4travel.
"The show was so beneficial for us and we got involved speaking in panels and got validation and incredible feedback on future ideas and products from our possible end users. To any travel technology start-ups reading this, don’t hesitate to apply – Travel Technology Europe provides great exposure, an influential audience and opportunities and benefits well beyond the normal tradeshow experience."
Visitors will be exposed to new products and can source, learn or network. Tech Huddles provide areas to share knowledge or conference presentations can inspire with groundbreaking talks on automation, robotics and the future of travel. Visitors will be sure to leave with new information, contacts and a fresh perspective. Find out more and register on www.traveltechnologyeurope.com
