Two TravelMole readers have won a trip to Travel Turkey 2004, the new exhibition and conference showcasing Turkish tourism.

Nick McKenna of Sunisle Holidays, Cotham, Bristol, and Paul Michaels of Kurtis Finn, Beckenham, Kent, will be flown to the show in Istanbul on 3-6 June.

Travel Turkey 2004 is designed to boost visitors to the country by providing a one-stop shop for travel-related services.

The event is supported by the Turkish ministry of culture and tourism and is seen as a key partner in promoting Turkey as an international tourism destination. The aim is to double visitor numbers to 25 million tourists a year by the end of the decade.

Doris Petersen, managing director of organisers Hannover-Messe International Istanbul, said: “Turkey has an incredibly rich mix of historical and cultural attractions, natural wonders and a variety of terrain that is ideally suited for sports, relaxation or educational tour packages.

“The country’s travel opportunities need to be effectively promoted to a global audience of both travel organisers and vacationers. ravel Turkey aims to significantly boost the current travel figures to Turkey.”
