Travel warning as Storm Diana continues to batter Britain
Weather forecasters are warning that gale force winds are likely to disrupt travel across much of the UK today.
Storm Diana is expected to bring winds of up to 80mph and up to 35 mm of rain to Scotland.
They are warning that roads could be flooded, winds could knock out power and cause delays to train services across the country.
Issuing a yellow weather warning for large parts of north and south-west England, the Met Office said: "Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely with some journeys taking longer.
"There is the chance of some cancellations as well as some road and bridge closures. Some short term loss of power and other services is possible."
While the worst of the rain is expected to fall in Scotland, heavy downpours are also likely in southwest England and Wales.
