She replaces Diane Evans who has left to focus on her Suffolk-based wedding venue business.

Lisa began her travel reporting career in 1996 with Travel Weekly, where she was promoted to news editor in 2000 and deputy editor in 2004.

Since going freelance in 2006 she has written for various regional, trade and online publications, including TravelMole, where she has been a freelance contributor for the past three years.

She has now been appointed in the permanent associate editor role, alongside associate editor Linsey McNeill.

TravelMole editor-in-chief Bev Fearis said: "Lisa is a well-known, well- respected and well-liked travel trade journalist and will be a great addition to the editorial team. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Diane for all her excellent work and dedication in the last four and a half years and wish her every success with her new family venture."
