TravelMole to run free FastConference on tsunami crisis
A free event for the travel industry to debate next steps following the tsunami disaster has been launched by TravelMole.
The ‘Tourism after the Tsunami’ FastConference will bring together a panel of top speakers to discuss lessons learned by the sector from the Boxing Day catastrophe. Issues for review will include how the industry can help affected regions and prospects for selling Asia in 2005.
Confirmed panelists include Tom Hall, travel informaion manager for Lonely Planet, Geoffrey Lipman, special advisor to the World Tourism Organisation, Derek Moore, co-founder of Explore Worldwide, a leading adventure travel specialist, Tim Robinson, chairman of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) UK chapter, Dave Simmons, managing director of Quest Travel.
The FastConference, the latest in a TravelMole series designed to deliver quick facts for industry professionals, takes place on January 25, at the Sheraton Park Tower Hotel in Knightsbridge, London, from 16.00-18.00.
Donations will be taken at the event to help with the tsunami relief effort. The event is being jointly funded by TravelMole and travel public relations company Rooster.
