Travelodge confirms marketing appointments
Travelodge has confirmed the appointment of Catriona Kempston as sales and marketing director on a permanent basis.
Kempston joined Travelodge from Europcar, where she was marketing director, six months ago on an interim basis. She has now been appoited to the executive management team, reporting to CEO Grant Hearn.
Previously, Catriona worked at Premier Inn where she was head of brand marketing. In this role she was responsible for the rebrand of Premier Travel Inn to Premier Inn and for the launch of the Lenny Henry campaign.
She has also worked for blue chip brands such as Vauxhall and Barclaycard and was the first winner of the CIM Women in Marketing Award for Female Marketer of the Year in 2010.
"In the short time Catriona has been with us, she has made a huge contribution in further developing our high profile brand," said Hearn. "Catriona’s wealth of expertise combined with her customer and market knowledge will be a great asset in helping us to drive the Travelodge brand into new consumer markets."
The budget hotel chain is further expanding its sales and marketing team with the appointment of Brad Poole as ecommerce manager and Jane Carswell as brand manager.
