Travelodge opens latest London hotel in time for Wimbledon
Travelodge has opened the first of four new budget hotels planned for London this year in Raynes Park, near Wimbledon.
The 86-room hotel has opened in time for the Tennis Championships at the nearby All England Club, which start in June.
The area has always suffered from a lack of hotels, forcing visitors and participants at the two-week tournament to stay in local homes instead.
Travelodge said its property, close to Raynes Park train station, had provided 18 new jobs within the community.
