Traveloka reportedly acquired three rival OTAs
Indonesia’s dominant OTA has been quietly gobbling up the competition.
It acquired local online travel agency rival PegiPegi, Vietnam’s Mytour, and TravelBook in the Philippines earlier this year.
The three firms were sold to Singapore based Jet Tech Innovation Ventures Pte Ltd.
The Daily Social has dug into the details of the deal and reported direct links between Jet Tech Innovation and Traveloka.
Traveloka and Jet Tech share the same office address in Singapore and Jet Tech director Hendrik Susanto is chief strategy and investment officer at Traveloka.
The three firms were sold by Japan based Recruit Holdings for $66.8 million, the Daily Social reported.
As well as the market leader in Indonesia Traveloka also operates in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam.
