TravelScanner to be unveiled by Dolphin Dynamics
Dolphin Dynamics is to unveil its next generation browser-based technology for travel agents next week.
TravelScanner is designed to build on web fares tool FlightScanner by adding charter flights, net and published air fares, car hire, insurance and tailor-made packages. Hotels are to be added later in the year.
The software development company claims the new system incorporates a sophisticated and flexible pricing and mark-up engine that enables travel agents to maximise yield from their travel product sales.
TravelScanner has been integrated with fulfilment system Dolphin Travel Manager to create what the company describes as a unified booking, fulfilment, mid and back office suite.
Dolphin Dynamics president Roberto Da Re said: “Traditionally, agents have had to book using one system and fulfil from another, now Dolphin’s integrated solution means they can make and manage bookings through their entire lifecycle in a single system.”
This convergence of technology into one multi-channel travel point of sale and management system delivers “unprecedented” automation and productivity gains while enabling agents to maximise sales, he added.
TravelScanner is to be demonstrated at the EyeforTravel Travel Distribution Summit Europe 2006 at the Business Design Centre in London of June 5-6.
