Travelsupermarket revenue up more than a third
TravelSupermarket revenues grew 35% to £12.5 million in the first half of this year following the investment in new technology which, the company said, had enabled it to attract more customers and convert them better into transactions.
The brand, part of the Moneysupermarket.com Group, was also supported by a TV and radio advertising campaign in the key January booking period.
TravelSupermarket plans to invest a further £2m to £3m in its technology this year.
Overall, the Group, which includes MoneySupermarket and Moneysavingexpert.com, made £122.4m to the end of June, a 9% year on year rise. Underlying profit grew 14% from £14.9m to £17.1m.
