Trinidad and Tobago rolls out agent specialist program
Trinidad & Tobago Tourism Development Company has launched a new travel agent specialist program.
The program covers core components including accommodations, culture, festivals, cuisine and eco adventure options for mainstream and niche markets such as multi-generational travel, spa and wellness, diving and destination weddings.
Top selling agents are eligible for a variety of rewards, including gift cards and FAM trips.
Qualifying agents will receive a certificate and accreditation for participation in the year long program with either four education credits from The Travel Institute or twelve credits from the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies respectively.
"We are extremely pleased to implement this program and partner with travel agents to raise the profile of our destination, while at the same time driving direct sales," said Warren Solomon, marketing general manger, Trinidad & Tobago Tourism Development Company.
"The Travel Agent Specialist Program is a key strategic initiative of the Tourism Development Company for positioning Trinidad & Tobago as a top-of-mind vacation destination in our primary source travel market."
