TripAdvisor Instant Booking now on all platforms in US, UK
Travel planning giant TripAdvisor says it has completed the roll out of its Instant Booking service across all platforms in US and UK markets.
Now available to all US and UK users on desktop and mobile, TripAdvisor launched the service in the US in June 2014.
The company plans to expand Instant Booking to other international markets in the near future.
"We continue to build momentum with instant booking and more and more travelers are experiencing the benefit of being able to plan, compare and book hotels on TripAdvisor," said TripAdvisor CEO Stephen Kaufer.
"The feedback from our users and our partners has been very positive and we’re eager to continue the expansion of instant booking in markets across the globe."
Instant Booking allows users to book rooms directly with hotels or online travel agencies without leaving the TripAdvisor website or mobile interface.
After a sluggish start last year, TripAdvisor has been steadily adding major hotel chains to the Instant Booking service.
It recently signed Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels, and La Quinta Inns & Suites.
Other global hospitality brands include Choice Hotels, Accor, Best Western International, Carlson Rezidor, Mandarin Oriental and Langham.
The company says it has a portfolio of about 235,000 hotels that are instantly bookable.
