TSA sinks to new low
The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) has popularity similar to that of the IRS, according to an Associated Press poll.
The only federal agency ranked lower was FEMA.
“Complaints against the agency studied by the AP run the gamut, from people complaining that searches are pointless and arbitrary to searches that are personally invasive,” said the poll.
It found almost one third of people listed security inconvenience as their top complaint.
More than half, however, rated the job done by the TSA as “very” or “somewhat” good.
The TSA has 43,000 screeners who earn an average of $30,000 a year.
