Tsunamis hit South Pacific
Tsunamis have killed nearly 100 people across a number of islands in the South Pacific.
According to BBC reports, at least 65 people have been reported dead in Samoa, more than 20 in American Samoa and at least six in Tonga.
Officials say whole villages have been destroyed, beaches have been swept away, and thousands of have been left homeless.
The tsunamis were triggered by a strong quake that struck the South Pacific yesterday, generating 15ft waves in some areas of the islands.
A general tsunami warning was issued for the wider South Pacific region but was cancelled a few hours later.
