TTNG issues Brexit factsheet
The Travel Network Group (TTNG) has provided its members with a two-page factsheet outlining the changes to travel within the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein from 1 January.
The document was created following the launch of the Government’s guidance for travel from the end of the Brexit transition period, on 31 December.
TTNG said the factsheet includes key information that travel firms should provide to their customers, such as passport validity, border control protocol, visas, driving licenses and regulations and travel and health insurance.
"For the past five months the travel industry has been turned upside down by the Covid-19 crisis, and we’ve been supporting our members to stay afloat financially, whilst helping them negotiate a landslide of re-bookings and refunds – all in the face of constantly changing rules and regulations," said TTNG CEO Gary Lewis.
"Against this ever-changing backdrop, it is our role to cut through the information overload that our members are facing every day, to clarify and simplify the most important facts they need to know and pass on to their customers.
"We’re starting to see positive signs for the industry, with many people starting to look to the future and book holidays and that is why enabling our members to help customers negotiate the changes in the way we travel post-Brexit is so important right now."
