Tube strike will hit air passengers
A tube strike this Thursday will affect the entire London underground network, including services to Heathrow airport.
It will also affect passengers trying to connect to the Docklands Light Railways for London City Airport, as well as those travelling by tube to Victoria or Clapham for trains to Gatwick and to Liverpool Street for trains to Stansted.
The 24-hour stoppage by Aslef train drivers will run from midnight to midnight on October 5.
Transport for London is warning that as a result, buses and roads will be extremely busy.
All Tube lines will be affected by the walkout, which has been caused by a long running dispute over working conditions and time off, including a four-day week.
A TfL spokesman said: "We are advising customers that the whole Tube network will be substantially disrupted on Thursday 5 October should planned strike action by Aslef members go ahead.
"All other TfL services will be unaffected but many will be busier that usual as customers seek alternative routes."
