TUI UK is taking on Page and Moy’s Neil Hardy to head The First Resort.

The First Resort sells holidays and short breaks over the internet and phone. TUI originally held a 20% share of the company, but bought the majority of the shares in July.

The Manchester-based First Resort was being run by finance director, Inam Shah in the interim. He will now leave the company. He joined The First Resort as finance director from Thomson Travel Group where he worked in mergers and acquisitions, after qualifying as a chartered accountant with KPMG.

In a statement to TravelMole, Mr Shah said: ” I can confirm that I will work alongside Neil for a period of time to ensure continuity and a smooth handover. The timescales have not been determined but this likely to be until some time in the first quarter of next year.”

Neil Hardy comes from Page and Moy Retail, where he was head of commercial and marketing. He will report to TUI UK retail sales and operations director, Miles Morgan. Before Page and Moy Mr Hardy held commercial and marketing roles at Midlands Co-op travel and ILG.
