TUI opens five-star hotel in Tuscany
TUI has opened its first five-star hotel in Italy, Il Castelfalfi – TUI Blue Selection.
It believes the luxury hotel in the heart of Tuscany will further revive the formerly abandoned medieval hamlet of Castelfalfi.
Toscana Resort Castelfalfi features a golf course, a country estate with a winery and olive oil production, a trattoria, exclusive holiday homes, a boutique hotel, gourmet restaurant, swimming pool and local shops.
The newly-built hotel has 112 rooms and eight suites in an authentic local style and the 1,000 sqm spa.
"With the opening of the youngest member in our TUI Blue hotel portfolio, we are achieving a further milestone on our growth path today. TUI BLUE is one of the core brands of TUI’s portfolio of group-owned hotels," said Sebastian Ebel, member of TUI Group’s Executive Board in charge of hotels and cruises.
Artur Gerber, managing director TUI Blue, added: "Within just one year, we have expanded our TUI BLUE portfolio to six hotels in five countries."
