TUI UK wins Top Employer award
TUI UK and Ireland has been commended for its ‘exemplary work’ at an event celebrating the opportunities offered to young people leaving school and going directly into work rather than university.
TUI won Top Employer – Hospitality & Tourism and Best Higher Apprenticeship at the event, organised by AllAboutSchoolLeavers.co.uk.
The ceremony, at the Sheraton Grand on Park Lane, London, was hosted by comedian Josh Widdicombe, who gave out prizes to employers based on the real-life experiences of apprentices and school leaver trainees.
In a statement, TUI said: "The win is a huge positive for the hospitality industry, as well as exemplifying the variety of options available to young people who don’t want to go to university."
The awards featured 100 UK organisations, with high-profile names from the professional services industry, the world of construction and engineering, supermarket giants, broadcasting and media companies, and city councils represented.
Young people working in the school leaver training world were asked to complete employee satisfaction surveys, covering every aspect of their working lives, from job satisfaction and career progression, to company culture and work-life balance.
