Turkey specialist fails
Kent-based Turkey specialist Fly Brits has ceased trading, according to the Civil Aviation Authority.
Also trading as ‘Fly Brits’, ‘Air Brits’, ‘Holiday Brits’ and ‘Late Brits’, the company was based in Beckenham, Kent and operated flights and package holidays to Turkey from major UK airports.
There are around 200 holidaymakers currently abroad and a further 250 with bookings who are yet to travel.
The CAA is currently making arrangements for customers abroad to complete their holidays and return to the UK, and to fully refund those with forward bookings.
The firm held ATOL number 6602 and provided a £758,000 bond.
Customers who are due to travel should submit a claim to the CAA. Claim forms are available on the ATOL website at www.atol.org.uk.
Fly Brits Limited had an associated company Vision Holidays, which has also ceased trading.
Vision Holidays was a member of the Travel Trust Association (TTA) and passengers due to travel with it are advised to contact the TTA on 08708 890 577.
