Turkmenistan Airlines brings in replacement airline to restore flights
Turkmenistan Airlines has restored flights to and from the UK using a Spanish charter airline.
Wamos Air has been brought in to help some of the passengers hit by the grounding of Turkmenistan Airlines flights earlier this week.
The European Aviation Safety Agency suspended permission for the airline to fly in the European Union, leading the Civil Aviation Authority to ground the airline’s UK flights from Birmingham and Heathrow.
But the Foreign Office said some services to and from the UK have been restored ands passengers are advised to contact Turkmenistan Airlines for further information.
The airline said yesterday its flight from Birmingham would operate as usual.
