Two Brits arrested on suspicion of rape in Magaluf
Police have arrested two British men, aged 19 and 18, on suspicion of raping an 18-year-old woman in Magaluf.
The Guardia Civil said it is believed that the woman, also British, went to a holiday apartment with the men where she alleges the rape took place.
The alleged attack happened at the Majorca resort at around midnight on Tuesday.
The Foreign Office confirmed two British men had been arrested and said it was providing consular assistance.
The incident comes after Magaluf hoteliers reported a drop in crime in the resort following a clamp down on bar crawls and anti-social behaviour.
Two British police officers were sent to Majorca earlier this month to help local police at the popular party destination.
