Two key appointments announced at Barbados Tourism
Two executives at the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) have been awarded key new roles in the organization.
BTMI promoted Petra Roach to the post of Head, Global Markets, which is a newly created position.
Roach is responsible for planning and formulating business development opportunities in overseas markets.
She was director for the US market and previously served as United Kingdom VP for 12 years.
She was awarded Caribbean Personality of the Year 2013 and British Travel Awards Personality of the Year 2013.
Meanwhile, Marsha Alleyne was promoted from the post of manager, guest experiences to chief product development officer.
In this new role she is tasked with the ongoing development and promotion of Barbados’ tourism product portfolio and services.
Alleyne previously served as manager, national tourism host program (NTHP) at the Barbados Tourism Product Authority (BTPA), and was instrumental in developinng the ‘I am Tourism’ campaign.
Both Alleyne and Roach report directly to William Griffith, chief executive officer of the BTMI.
