Two UK families devastated in Orlando crash
Three British holidaymakers have been killed, with three children being critically injured, in a road crash in Florida. Members of the Cole and Babson families, from Surrey and Essex, were reportedly just 24 hours into a Christmas holiday in Orlando, where they had planned to spend the festive season. But, according to the Daily Mail, tragedy struck when their rented people-carrier was in collision with a petrol tanker near the town of Davenport. Charles and Dawn Babson, both 40, were reportedly killed instantly, while 41-year-old Simeon Cole died hours later. Three children were reportedly in intensive care, while another suffered a broken arm. A Foreign Office spokesman is quoted as saying: “Our consular staff in Orlando are assisting relatives and liaising with local authorities regarding the care of the children.” Report by Tim Gillett, News From Abroad Ltd
